When did you become interested in art?
Elementary school actually. You can be so free in elementary art class. Melting crayons on wax paper to make a fish bowl to finger painting (which was my favorite). It really was my favorite subject all through my school years, but elementary art was very free and open which I still try to have now with my work.

How did you discover your talent?
As I was growing up, I was asked, "What do you want to be when you grown up?" I would always say "an artist". So, I really discovered my talent and interest in art at a very young age. The style of art I do now, called "WeeDot", came to me in commercial art class back in 1991. The flow, colors and fun of the style has stuck with me since.

What inspires you? What gets your creative juices flowing?
Blank canvases drive me crazy. The ambition to make something out of nothing with my hands gets me started at first. My daughters are my biggest influences though. Seeing how they see the world and new things in life is how I want my art to be seen by the world; new, fun and different.

When you're not creating fabulous art what are you doing?
To support my fine art, I'm a full time graphic designer. I enjoy art in every medium, including the digital form. I love going out to eat with my artist friends and just hanging out. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our 2 daughters and the rest of my family.

What is your favorite ChaiChe item?
I love her scarfs. They look so warm and fuzzy and are just full of fun and color!!!!
